“I had no idea what to expect when I first found about Rocky Mountain Camp. I knew that doing ‘more of the same’, sending him to local summer school, extra tutoring, was not going to help bridge the gap my son was struggling with. Not only did I learn a lot about Dyslexia and why Sean was struggling so much in reading, he learned he was not ‘alone’. He was with a group of very bright boys and girls like himself with the same learning difficulties. I’d describe the program as ‘work hard, play hard’. These kids had hours of one to one time working on language, reading, and comprehension, plus art and outdoor activities. He came home exhausted every night and could not wait to get back to camp the next day!
Quite frankly the other thing I liked about the camp was that the application process assures the kids will have the opportunity to learn in a safe, positive and fun environment, with other kids like themselves; kids that really want to learn!"
Kelly Donovan, mother of Sean
